Welcome to a brand new year with Paradise Horsemen's Association! We have many new changes this year beginning with our new website! I would like to thank Judy Orlando and Chanter Johnson for their time putting together this website. We have voted on new board members and have the largest board that PHA has had in many years. The CGA Gymkhana shows are growing larger every year and we now have more than fifty riders per show. We have three CSHA shows planned for our arena this year thanx to Pamela Hartley. We have also scheduled three PHA Family Fun Days this summer. These playdays are free to PHA members as a way for us to come together as an association and have fun riding and visiting at our beautiful arena. We will have some fun games on horseback as well as drinks and munchies. These playdays will be a great opportunity to meet new PHA members and have a great time! You won't want to miss out!
Some of the goals for PHA is to have a huge PHA Poker Ride at Meadowbrook Ranch or Doone Grade this year. With enough help with the planning and advertising, this should be a great success for PHA as well as a tremendous amount of fun. Our PHA board members are dedicated to bringing you more trail rides and camp-outs. We realize that some of our members do not use the arena but love to trail ride. We want to reach out to you too!
Next PHA Board meeting is February 12th at 6pm at the Cozy Diner Restaurant. This is the second Tuesday of the month and our meetings will now be held every month on the 2nd Tuesday at the Cozy Diner. Dinner is served at 6pm...meeting starts promptly at 7pm.
Arena rules need to be posted at arena:
- Clear the arena of obstacles after use
- Lock up everything before leaving
- Must be a PHA member to use arena if not at a PHA sponsored event(insurance reasons prohibit use for non PHA members)
- If a non-PHA member rides with you, they must fill out and sign a release form along with a $5.00 useage fee.
- Under age 18 must wear helmet when riding in arena.
- Clean up manure from gravel roadways
Would be nice to have a sign that states: If not for the PHA, this arena would not be in existence. PHA leases the arena from PRPD and our memberships help pay for the required insurance needed in order to use the arena. For membership information, please contact the PRPD at 872-6383
